Brainspotting is a revolutionary brain-based modality that helps us go deep to help process stored traumas which underlie a wide range of emotional and physical challenges. A great opportunity to experience personal transformation, healing, and renewed coherence as you embody Brainspotting theory. Inclusive small group experience. Interns and certified healing practitioners are welcome.
Your Instructor
Joy Myong, LPC is a Certified Brainspotting Trainer who trained extensively with founder David Grand and other innovative and intuitive teachers. She is a licensed therapist with a holistic and integrated understanding of trauma and how individuals can be supported in their natural ability to heal.
Feedback from past attendees:
"Joy’s skill and presence truly embodied the spirit of healing that we all aspire to. Her training was incredibly effective, as is her mastery of the art and science of Brainspotting. I feel truly grateful for having met her. I highly recommend Joy for whatever guidance is needed for personal and professional growth - her mastery can help guide us back home." - Douglas Cyr, MPA, MFT, FAAETS (Walnut Creek, CA)
"I came in unsure what to expect. I was completely blown away by the power of brainspotting, and how applicable it could be in the work I am already doing. I felt the environment created by Joy and the facilitators was probably the best I've experienced during any training, ESPECIALLY considering it was done virtually. I felt very engaged with the material and that there were multiple opportunities for me to learn about, ask questions, practice, and witness this work." - Claire Kalala, LCPC, Art Therapist (Hagerstown, MD)

Course Description:
Brainspotting Phase One introduces students to the theory, research, and best practices of Brainspotting, how it works to heal trauma and other mental health conditions, education on the importance of reaching the deepest regions of the brain in order to have resolution, and the four techniques or ‘frames’ used to engage clients via a specific eye position, or “Brainspot,” so that they can process their trauma and be relieved of other diagnoses and mental health issues.
